OC LYMPHATICS
Hi there, my name is Tina and I am passionate about all things related to the lymphatic system. I hold a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) and am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) with the highest level of credentialing available in lymphatic therapy through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA). I completed my clinical residency and fellowship at the Keck Medical Center of USC, one of few Centers of Excellence in the world designated by the Lymphatic Education & Research Network, and it was here that I gained specialized expertise in treating complex lymphatic conditions. I served as the lead senior therapist for outpatient lymphatic and oncology services for several years then founded my private practice, OC Lymphatics, in 2021. Throughout the years, I have had the extreme honor of being an invited speaker at international and domestic conferences, as well as local podcasts.
My foundational training for manual lymphatic drainage was via the Vodder method, which is widely recognized as the gold standard, however you can find me integrating many other manual techniques such as myofascial release, scar massage, craniosacral therapy, Chikly lymph drainage therapy, and the Perrin technique, based on individual needs.
For each session, my goal is to make you feel supported and comforted knowing that you are in a safe space for healing and recovery. Whether you are managing lymphedema or lipedema, suffering from chronic illness, recovering from surgery, or simply improving your general wellness, I am honored to join you on your journey.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a therapeutic technique used to decrease swelling, reduce inflammation, promote immune responses, and enhance general wellbeing. The Vodder technique is internationally recognized as the gold standard for MLD and consists of using very gentle, rhythmic strokes to stretch the surface of the skin. This helps direct lymphatic fluid through lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes, following precise pathways for optimal filtration and drainage.
POST-SURGICAL
Manual lymphatic drainage after cosmetic surgery such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, Brazilian Butt Lift, and mommy makeover can promote faster recovery, enhance comfort, address fibrosis and decrease post-surgical pain and swelling.
ONCOLOGIC
Cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery can cause extreme discomfort, pain, and fatigue. MLD can have analgesic effects to calm the sympathetic nervous system and address common side effects of cancer treatments. Palliative treatments may also be available (please inquire).
LYMPHEDEMA / LIPEDEMA
Primary lymphedema is a congenital condition that results in a deficient lymphatic system. Secondary lymphedema may be acquired after insults to the lymphatic system (e.g. having lymph nodes removed due to cancer). Lipedema is a condition that causes fatty deposits in the body, and edema. MLD can provide relief, decrease swelling, and soften fibrotic areas for these conditions.
WELLNESS
The lymphatic system is responsible for filtering harmful materials (e.g. pathogens, cancer cells, cellular debris) from the body, as well as producing lymphocytes that enhance our immune system. MLD not only stimulates this system, but also engages the autonomic nervous system to reduce pain, increase calm, and to promote healing.
